Feast on Netflix's Chef's Table!

Chef’s Table: Volume 6 Review
I have absolutely no problem letting the people I meet touch my heart. I look forward to the opportunity of meeting someone new and learning their story. I had no idea that watching Volume 6 of “Chef’s Table” on Netflix would be such an emotional, soul lifting, experience. I can always count on the show to feed one of my favorite addictions, binge watching anything food or travel related. It has never disappointed me. So, when I finally had a block of undisturbed time, I put on my favorite, soft, cotton PJ’s (mandatory for binge watching any television series), wrapped up in the snuggly dragon blanket (more on that another time), encased myself in a semi-circle of snacks and La Croix, turned on the TV, sunk into the couch and loaded up the Roku thinking, “Ahhhhh... hit me with that theme song Vivaldi!”

Despite all my usual preparation for my binge watching, I was not emotionally prepared for this round of Chefs. Included in Volume 6: Mashama Bailey, (who at the time of this writing, has just won the James Beard award for Best Chef: Southeast!) Dario Cecchini, Asama Khan and Sean Brock. Some of these chefs may be familiar to you BUT you… just… don’t… know! Trust me! Don’t worry, you will you learn about their restaurants and their beautiful food but this volume is so much more. It is powerful. Delicious, soul stirring, power.

To me all their stories are of surprising life reinvention. They have dared to navigate their lives in a different direction or have transformed the way they travel within their chosen path. They all shared amazing life lessons that I will never forget. I have watched all the volumes of a “Chef’s Table” and to me, this one is the best, by far. I was delighted by the complete visual beauty of the series. It is just gorgeous. I was brought to tears and inspired by the vulnerability of the chefs as they told their stories. Watch it! It is a feast for your mind, body and soul.  Rating:🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍 (5 out of 5 pineapples).
